Rachael is landscape architect and professional garden designer specialising in historic garden restoration with more than 20 years’ experience. Her designs are inspired by nature and based in practicality, producing high quality gardens that stand the test of time.

The team behind the name

Austin Design Works is a family-run business led by siblings Rachael and Matthew Austin, based in Nailsworth in the heart of the Cotswolds. We are a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, architects and garden designers, which enables us to spaces that seamlessly combine planting and landscaping with substantial garden structures.
